How to Run a Nuts Poker League Night with Shuffle Up and Deal!
Running a Nuts Poker League night takes more than a blind timer. There are players to register, seats to draw, tables to balance, finishing positions to record and league points to calculate. Often, the tournament director is trying to play a few hands as well.
Shuffle Up and Deal! brings those jobs together in one poker tournament management app, with the Nuts Poker League points system built in.
The app has already been used for more than 75 tournaments across our Nuts Poker League test venues, supporting the practical work of running regular grassroots games.
If you run a Nuts venue, here is how SUAD can help you organise the evening, manage the tournament and keep track of the results.
Used in more than 75 tournaments at our Nuts test venues
Shuffle Up and Deal! has been developed around real poker nights and the people who run them. Weekly Nuts Poker League games have been an important part of that process.
Across our test venues, SUAD has now been used to run more than 75 tournaments, from opening registration through to recording the winner.
Weekly games put tournament software through its paces. Players arrive at different times, a table becomes short, someone needs their seat confirmed and the TD has to keep everything moving.
Those everyday situations have helped shape an app designed to be useful while the game is happening.
The Nuts Poker League points system is built in
For a Nuts tournament director, support for the right scoring system matters.
The Nuts Poker League points system is built into Shuffle Up and Deal!, so you can use it without recreating the points structure yourself.
Configure your league with Nuts scoring and link your tournaments to it. As you record finishing positions, SUAD calculates the corresponding points and maintains your in-app league standings.
That brings the tournament record and league scoring together. You can:
Use the built-in Nuts scoring system.
Record finishing positions during the tournament.
Calculate points within the app.
Review standings across the tournaments recorded in your league.
Refer back to previous tournament results.
The finishing order you record while running the game becomes the basis for your league points, keeping both parts of the evening connected.

Getting started with your weekly game
Before your first tournament, set up the essentials:
Create your venue so your regular games have a home within the app.
Set up your league using the built-in Nuts points system.
Save your tournament format, including your starting stack, blind structure, breaks and table sizes.
Create a tournament and link it to your league before registering the players.
Once your regular settings are saved, you can reuse them for future games rather than rebuild the same structure every week.
Register players and organise the opening seat draw
The start of a pub poker night can be its busiest moment. Regulars are arriving, new players need a welcome and everyone wants to know when the game will begin.
SUAD keeps registration and seating together in the tournament record. Register your players, organise the tables and use the seating tools to draw the opening seats.
The TD has a clear record of who is playing and where they are sitting, helping give the evening an organised start.
Run the poker clock and manage the tables
A clear tournament clock keeps the game moving, but the work continues between level changes.
SUAD combines the clock with tools for recording eliminations, balancing tables and breaking tables as the field gets smaller.
Keep the clock visible
The tournament clock tracks the current level, blinds and time remaining.
You can also show the tournament display on a compatible external screen, giving players a clear view around the room. Connection options depend on your device and display setup.
Manage player moves
As players are eliminated, tables can become uneven. SUAD provides balancing tools to help organise player moves and table-breaking tools for bringing the remaining field together.
Having these alongside the clock is particularly useful when the tournament director is also playing.
Record eliminations as they happen
Record each knockout during play to build the finishing order throughout the evening.
That keeps your tournament record up to date and gives the linked league scoring the finishing positions it needs.
Review the results and points
Once the winner is decided, review the finishing order and calculated points before completing your usual league administration.
Your tournament history and in-app standings provide a record to refer back to after the game. Whether you are checking last week’s result or reviewing the season so far, the information stays connected to the tournaments you have recorded.
Using SUAD alongside the official Nuts Poker League website
SUAD supports the practical work of running your venue’s poker night.
The official Nuts Poker League website remains the place for official league information, submitted results and qualification details.
Continue submitting your results through your usual official Nuts process. SUAD does not automatically send tournament results to the Nuts website.
Standings within SUAD reflect the tournaments recorded in the app. Official standings and qualification should always be checked through Nuts.
Tournament software for grassroots poker
A well-run weekly game depends on someone doing the work behind the scenes.
That person welcomes players, organises seats, manages the clock, moves players between tables and records the result. They may be a volunteer, a venue organiser or a player taking their turn as TD.
Shuffle Up and Deal! brings those tasks into one app, helping smaller games deliver a professional tournament experience.
For Nuts TDs, the built-in scoring system adds a familiar part of their league night to those tournament tools. More than 75 tournaments across our test venues have provided a practical setting for putting them to use.
