Delete your Shuffle Up and Deal! account
You can permanently delete your account yourself, from inside the app, in about a minute. This page walks you through it and explains exactly what is deleted.
Can't get into the app? Use the request form at the bottom of this page and we'll do it for you. Only want to remove some of your data and keep the account? See Delete your data.
Before you start
Deleting your account can't be undone. If you want to keep your tournament history, export a backup file first and save it somewhere outside the app. In the app, go to Settings, then Backups.
Delete your account in the app
- 1Open Shuffle Up and Deal! and make sure you're signed in to the account you want to delete.
- 2Open Your account. You can reach it from the account tile in the side menu, or from the Settings tab.
- 3Tap Delete account.
- 4A dialog titled Delete your account? explains what will be erased. Tap Continue.
- 5A second dialog, Are you sure?, reminds you to export a backup if you want one. Tap I understand, continue.
- 6On the Final confirmation step, type DELETE in the box, then tap Permanently delete my account.
Your account and the data held on our servers are then deleted, and the app signs you out. Other devices signed in to the account can no longer sync.
Deleting your account doesn't always remove everything stored on your phone or tablet. To be sure nothing is left behind, delete the Shuffle Up and Deal! app from every device where it's installed, including the one you used to delete your account. On Android you can instead clear the app's storage in your device settings.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in identity (your account and the email address it uses).
- All synced tournaments, results, leagues, players and venues.
- Your cloud backups.
- Player photos and avatars you uploaded.
- TURNER chat records held on our servers.
- The records of the devices linked to your account.
What is kept
Anonymised aggregate TURNER counts may remain. They contain no message content and can't be linked back to you or your account.
If you subscribed, purchase records are kept by Apple or Google, and subscription status records are kept by RevenueCat (the service we use to manage subscriptions), each under their own retention policies.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription
If you subscribe to a paid plan, deleting your account does not cancel it, and the store will keep charging you until you cancel it yourself. Cancel before you delete your account:
- iPhone or iPad: how to cancel a subscription from Apple
- Android: how to cancel a subscription on Google Play
